Won Tender - A2

28 September 2009 – The Minister of National Roads and Highways signed an agreement for the A2 project and construction of the 91 km portion (Strykow-Konotopa). The investment will be completed in 5 portions using a “Design & Build” system.

The contractors for two of the longest portions – 29.2 km and 20 km – will be the Chinese-Polish consortium whose leader is China Overseas Construction Group Co. LTD (COVEC). The total value of the contract is 1,289 mln PLN.
 
Scheduled work is predicted to complete by the end of May 2012, 5 portions of the Stryków-Konotopa highway, with a total of 91 km. Thanks to this there will be a guaranteed connection of highways connecting Warszawa-Łódź-Poznań-Berlin. For the winning consortium COVEC, during the preparation of public tender documents, offers, as well as during procedures before the GDDKIA and KIO beside the Director of IPO Ministry, the legal team at the law firm „BARYLSKI T., OLSZEWSKI A., BRZOZOWSKI A.” represented the Chinese firm under the direction of Andrzeja Olszewski.
